Toni McLean joined ECOVIS Clark Jacobs during lockdown in June 2021.\u00a0 Working from home, she had to learn the ropes and connect with clients, managers, and partners remotely.\u00a0 She had only met two members of the team when Sydney was plunged into a lockdown that would last months.\u00a0 During the three months of lockdown, she gradually came to speak to most members of the ECJ team, patching through calls, taking messages, and generally looking after the firm\u2019s administrative needs.<\/p>\n
Once lockdown ended and people gradually returned to the city, Toni finally had the opportunity to meet everyone in person.\u00a0 \u201cAnd everyone was as welcoming and kind as I had imagined,\u201d says Toni.\u00a0 \u201cEveryone understood that I had to learn the ropes and the unique ECJ way of doing things.\u00a0 It was never a problem to ask for help, I really appreciated that.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI know that an important part of my role is to set the tone for what a customer\u2019s engagement with our firm is like,\u201d Toni continues. \u201cI aim to be welcoming, friendly, helpful and efficient because I know that is what ECJ is all about.\u201d<\/p>\n
Coming from a hospitality background, Toni is loving the routine that ECJ offers.\u00a0 \u201cI like to be\u00a0organised\u00a0and to contribute, and what I like about the team here is that it feels like they genuinely value the role that I play in making their days a little easier.\u00a0 At least, I hope I\u00a0do!\u201d<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
