Toni McLean

“I am the first point of contact for people at ECOVIS Clark Jacobs and people always seem happy to be speaking to us.”

Toni McLean joined ECOVIS Clark Jacobs during lockdown in June 2021.  Working from home, she had to learn the ropes and connect with clients, managers, and partners remotely.  She had only met two members of the team when Sydney was plunged into a lockdown that would last months.  During the three months of lockdown, she gradually came to speak to most members of the ECJ team, patching through calls, taking messages, and generally looking after the firm’s administrative needs.

Once lockdown ended and people gradually returned to the city, Toni finally had the opportunity to meet everyone in person.  “And everyone was as welcoming and kind as I had imagined,” says Toni.  “Everyone understood that I had to learn the ropes and the unique ECJ way of doing things.  It was never a problem to ask for help, I really appreciated that.”

“I know that an important part of my role is to set the tone for what a customer’s engagement with our firm is like,” Toni continues. “I aim to be welcoming, friendly, helpful and efficient because I know that is what ECJ is all about.”

Coming from a hospitality background, Toni is loving the routine that ECJ offers.  “I like to be organised and to contribute, and what I like about the team here is that it feels like they genuinely value the role that I play in making their days a little easier.  At least, I hope I do!”
