Valerie Sales joined ECOVIS Clark Jacobs in 2019, in her first corporate role since relocating to Australia from the Philippines. Valerie looks after the administration for the ECJ client’s self-managed super funds and as a result, engages with the directors and managers throughout the organisation. It has been a learning curve, but one that Valerie wouldn’t change.
“Every day I learn something new and am challenged to look outside the box. Every member of ECJ wants to deliver good results for their clients, and delivering on their SMSF is part of that. So, regardless of how busy the directors and managers are, they operate an open-door policy and are always available to provide me with the information I need to get the job done. It really helps foster a team environment.
The directors and managers have each taught me something, whether it is learning to work more efficiently or to think more creatively. They challenge me and then put their trust in me to deliver.
Every client has different needs and that provides a great learning environment for me, personally. As their needs change and as regulations develop, I am constantly stimulated and upskilling. No day is ever boring.
What strikes me the most about ECJ, is that everyone cares. Everyone cares about doing their best for their clients and the business, and everyone cares about the members of the team.”
